OUR APPROACH

Rebuilding the brand from the inside out.

In the words of our own Rob McCarty, “You can’t fix a brand problem until you fix the people problem.” We quickly recognized organizational issues when we began working with Bistro Bella Vita in 2000. Guests were reporting inconsistent experiences—either hitting the mark or falling short of expectations. As we dug in to discover more about management and staff, it became apparent that the first step had to be to adjust what was happening internally in order to fix the brand reputation.

TIS began by stabilizing the company: cutting advertising waste, defining the brand and organization’s strengths, improving messaging, and more. We were able to take things up a notch and position Bistro (and later The Green Well and Grove) as one of the first restaurants to serve local food made from local ingredients. Sixteen years later, we’re proud to say that we’ve been part of a movement with Essence Restaurant Group—some of GR’s most well-known and well-liked places. Yum!
