By: ZACH GUY Digital Apr 8, 2020 How to Use Google Takeout During COVID-19 Google has updated its map offerings so that users may easy identify restaurants offering take-out and delivery during the COVID-19 pandemic. When you open Google Maps, you’ll see a shortcut labeled “delivery” and “takeout.” When clicked, you will see relevant restaurants near you that fall under these categories, including local and chain restaurants. Restaurants can set up their profile for customers to order food directly from Google (set up info below) or direct them to another platform. Update Your Google Listing: Add Takeout STEP 1: Sign into Google My Business STEP 2: Select “Info” from the menu STEP 3: Locate “Add Attributes” and click edit STEP 4: Make edits (including hours or any other changes) STEP 5: Click “Apply” Newly saved attributes will be visible to viewers on Google Maps and Search.
